FakFil writes First Lyrics!

It was like a play. I was on a casual visit to a relative's place. Her children were a bit interesting, and for the fact that I am a young poet, they tried to see my wits. The eldest daughter asked me to write something about love.
I was like, "Love? I haven't written anything about love in weeks. The only thing that has been connecting me to love was WestLife", I replied. But I rethought: "if this is a local impromptu request, what if I'm confronted with a bigger one?"
So I asked for a plain sheet and a pencil, and before I got the items, I managed to guess what my first lines would be. It was like a melodrama. All three sisters were on audition, waiting for my commencement so they can applaud, or dissuade.
So I started:

"I feel like I'm in love, O my baby.
I don't know why you left, O my baby.
I still long for your love, O my baby.
You never cared I was hurt, O my baby.
I don't know how I felt, O my baby.
As you did run away, O my baby.
But now tonight I found rest, O my baby.
I thank God for His peace in my life, yeah..."

It was like they were not yet satisfied with what I wrote. So the last sister said, "and you call yourself FakFil?" I was enraged, embittered, that I couldn't show off the meaning of my name to my cousin, even if it were my official nickname. With anger, I thought about the meaning of FakFil. "Fix A Kiss, Fall In Love".
So I continued:

"It was back in '99, I was working all around the clock,
My friends thought I was fine, yeah, my spirit hung under the rocks.
I thought, thought and thought, I kept thinking in my mind,
Till the clocked ticked 9 that night, I was up under the skies.
Yeah I fought, fought and fought, till my strength hung down the lines,
I was screaming in my mind, I was feeling like I'm sad.
There was something from behind, like a cup of tasteless love,
Which kept tearing me apiece, sending cold air down my spine,
Days of love, days of joy, kept on ringing in my mind,
For I long just once again, hope to hold you in my arms.
Days of fights, days of tears, held me speechless, I was sad,
For I long now to see, how I'll hold you in my arms,
But the longer you said "NO", I don't know how I flow;
I was left hypnotized, all alone...
Now tonight I am here, I am flying without wings,
I'm so glad I found rest, and I'm feeling happy!"

I thank God for His peace in my life, yeah.."

"Well it;s true what I see, you're the only girl that makes me trip,
For the first day we met, I was really feeling like I'm spelled,
So why now o why, would you steal my love away,
O I cannot think or work, 'tis a job for me to play,
O I try not to cry, but I'm feeling like a fool,
For I played the gentleman, yet you left me, hey so soon...
Baby now I have learnt not to trust or lean on love,
For the more of love you see, is the more neglect you feel,
I will rise to my feet from the pieces I was left,
You are now history, thanks for teaching me your best.
O my God, I am here, in Your Holy Place to pray,
You can bring me back to life, once again...
Now tonight I am here, and I'm flying without wings,
I'm so glad I found rest, and I'm feeling happy...

I thank God for His peace in my life, yeah.."

By the time I finished my lines, I was refreshed in the brain. Infact, I didnt know where the tune came from,. and suddenly, the lyrics became a song. My cousins applauded me, and I felt like fulfilled.

I attended Good Tidings Nursery and Primary School, Osogbo, Osun state between years 2002 and 2003, following my previous departure from God's Success International Nursery and Primary School, Osogbo which I attended between 1999/2000 and 2001/2002 academic years, my reason for departure being residential.
I am a black young man, a paternal native of Accra Ghana, a Foster native of Oyan, OdoOtin Local Government of Osun State, Nigeria, and Maternal native of Ode-Omu, Ayedaade Local Government Area of Osun State, Nigeria. I have been to different parts of the country, such as Ibadan, Ogbomosho, Ile-Ife, Akure, Ede, osogbo, Oyan, Lagos, Ejigbo, Iwo, to mention but a few. This is due to my main hobby, which is travelling.
I like making friends on a very large scale, and my best friend-making toll year was in 2011. So much as I love surfing the net, I discourage people from chatting for long hours because I personally observed how chatting has been taking much of the precious time I have.
My best food, if you want to know, is Beans, although I have a good number of favourites. I like teaching people how to cook, because next to my mum, I am the best cook of my house. How could this be so? Well, my personal answer is, although i have sisters who can cook, I am the first boy, and I am the first born.
My ons are honesty, transparency and flexibility. My offs are insolence, stinginess and lying, to highlight the mostly important.
I am single to stupor.
I am a Christian. My name should have told you that. I attend the Redeemed Christian Church of God, although my Parents belong to the Deeper Life Bible Church.
If you feel like adding me on 2go, eskimi or any other chat sites, just type "fakfil" into the search box, and be sure to find me there.
My phone number is 08136632693.
I am a peculiarly Unique being. I spend my leisure periods to read books, listen to musics-jazz, hiphops, afros, raps, pops, dance, classicals, worship, name it, compose poems and musics-my inspirers being Sir Walter De la'Maire (RIP) and Westlife, and playing EA games.
I read books like "The Gifted Hands" by Ben Carson and "Romeo and Juliet" by Williams Shakespare, Poems like "Someone Came Knocking" by Sir Walter De la'Maire. I listen to songs like "My love" by Westlife, "Goodbye" by Celine Dion, and "Olamide Rhapsody" by Olamide. These activities of mine has made me to develop my singing and writing skills. I have written songs like "Queen of my heart", "FakFil Rhapsody", "O my baby" and "I'll get there Someday", to mention but a few. The complete lyrics of these musics can be found at www.ambitionbooster.blogspot.com or in "My Notes" on my facebook profileI have also written series of Poems, among which are "Good Morning How are you", "A Thousand Miles", "Thanks For a Job Well Done", and "O What Joy It Is to Love", to mention but a few. As parts of my efforts to assist other upcoming poets like myself to discover their talents, I encouraged one of the guys I met at a coaching center (Penworth Tutorial Classes, Okefia, Osogbo),whose name is Alabi Segun curently in Ghana, to develop his passion for poetry. He wrote a Poem titled "When Shall I be Old" which was so touching that I included it in my manuscript. He was happy and for that, he began to develop himself in African Poetry. He now had three different national best selling books on Poetry in Ghana. Well, i have made efforts to publish some of my poems too, but all I have been able to do was just to place them on blogs. I believe in the future. Better days are coming. I didnt only specialize on poetry, I dived into Article and Free Writing. One thing about this free writing stuff is that, it helped me a lot in my GNS when i was in school. I didnt have less than 90 points of a 100 as grade in my GNS.
I may be sometimes funny and boring, but believe me, I always want to make everyone around me to be happy. I give when i feel like. I give out money, clothes and stuffs to those who are in need. I give, not because I have enough, but because I know how it feels to have nothing.
I have a short proverb: Everybody has his/her own world at a glance; it will not be closed until then.
As a young man who aims for nothing less than the best in life, I develop various quotes which I live by everyday. These include "Try to Fry your Shy to Dry", "Live to Fend to Blend the End", "Whatever we do today is a reflection of the type of life we have been living in the past, and a refraction of the type of life we will live in the future", amongst others.
My status always changes, because I am always advancing. Come back tomorrow and you will always see a new me.
I love it when people call me FakFil. Infact, I have developed a kind of reflex action, whereby when people shout the name PHILIP around me, I still turn about looking for who they might be calling, only to discover that they were calling me. This is why I would prefer being addressed as FakFil ratehr than any of my other names. It is a short combination of my surname "FAKunle" and my name Philip pronounced '/Filip/'.
My favourite film is "SmallVille", hence the usual attachment "Clark" to my nickname. Other films I watched most recently include "A man called God", "Legend of the Seeker", "Merlin", "Spartacus", "Mr Bean" and a good host of others.
My poems and songs have been lyricised and posted onto "My Notes" in Facebook. You can access them by Simply clicking on my profile, scroll down and then you'll see "notes" or "FakFil's Notes". Click on them, to view. You can call me for any questions, additions, assistance, aids, or suggestions.
